“Gold Crown Series” with Choke and Track Volt Meter Manual Addition

(with Choke On/Off Switch)

The Manual for the Standard Predator 2 applies to the Choke with Meter with the Addition of the Following:

  1. The yellow “Choke LED” is located on the upper right hand side of the power Box. The LED will be on when the “Choke” function is active.
  2. The “Choke On/Off Switch” is located at the rear/side of the handle. This allows the ability to turn the “Choke” on and off as desired, while presetting the “Choke Rotary Switch” to the desired “Choke” feet increment range as indicated on the dial.
  3. The “Choke Rotary Switch” is Located at the top/rear of the handle. The “Choke” feet increments are selected by rotating the switch to the desired “Choke” feet increment as indicated on the dial. Note: The “Choke” function is not active until “Choke On/Off Switch” is set to the on position.
  4. The “FTB Switch” (full throttle bypass) is located at the front/side of the handle. When the “Choke” function is active and the “FTB Switch” is set in the on position, “Choke” operation will be automatically overridden when trigger is at full throttle (Clicker activation). “Choke” operation will resume when the trigger is not a full throttle.
  5. The “Choke Bypass” button located at the front of the handle between the handle covers.  When the “Choke” function is active, pressing the “Choke Bypass” at any time will override “Choke” operation.
  6. The “Track Volt Meter” accurately indicates (within 1%) the actual track voltage at the panel with no load on the Controller. Note: there will be an error in the track voltage when the Controller is in use indicating the track voltage minus the voltage drops in the track wiring, Controller cabling, connections etc.
  7. The “Sensitivity Select Switch” is located at the front/center, under the controls chuster U channel. The switch sets the difference in adjustment range of the Blue Sensitivity adjust Knob. The Lo (front faceing) position is for Flat Track use and adjusts for very low to mid range. The Hi (Back facing) position is for Wing car/Speedway use and adjusts from mid range to near ¾ throttle output.
  8. Do not obstruct the heat sinks cooling in anyway by covering the fins. For maximum cooling the unit should hang on the track using the Controllers mounting bracket.
  9. Do not handle the unit by control cable or pick the unit up and placing pressure on the Meter or the Choke Assembly between the heat sink fins, doing so may damage the unit.
  10. Do not disassemble the unit (other than to adjust the trigger), there are no user serviceable parts inside.

Note:

Please keep in mind that the “Choke” feet increments are “Customer Selectable” on the Predator 2 “Gold Crown Series” Controller. The feet increments and the total number of choke feet may vary from unit to unit,
